Having your car not start can be very stressful, especially since it tends to happen at the worst of times. Since there are a lot of different issues that can stop a car from starting, here are a few of the most common causes.
The battery might be dead. When you try turning on the headlights with the ignition turned, if nothing happens than this is the problem.
The cables connecting the battery might be faulty, dirty, or even completely disconnected.
Sometimes when your car won't start on a cold day or when your car starts but immediately dies, the culprit is your car's carburetor.
This may sound a little obvious, but you might be out of gasoline. If you haven't been as diligent in filling up as often as you should, it may be time to get a gas container and a ride to the gas station.
In almost any case of having a non-starting car, we recommend that you get your car towed to the nearest service center to have it checked out.
